March is finally here, which means spring is just around the corner! (Maybe.) As I write this, I am in Florida, where it has been in the high twenties (Celsius) all week. So I’m not complaining. But I’m also not looking forward to going back home to the freezing cold. Bleh.
Anyway, enough about the weather—on to the favourites!
I got a new phone this month, which I am loving. I did some research to figure out which phone would be right for me, and I settled on the Google Pixel 2, for several reasons including the amazing camera. And I’ve definitely been taking more photos with it. (Such as all of the photos above.) Which leads me to my next favourite…
I also finally got my hands on a photo printer, and though I was only able to use it for a couple of printing sessions before I had to leave, I love it already. It has made scrapbooking so much easier so far. I even completed my December Daily album from last year because I was finally able to print photos! I’m super excited to get back and finish last year’s Project Life, and also this trip.
Speaking of scrapbooking, I organized a bunch of my crafty stuff before I left, and I plan to do more when I get back. I sorted scrapbooking embellishments and Project Life cards, and planned out a system to reorganize my whole desk area in my craft room. I am super excited to implement it, after a trip to IKEA. Heh.
I got really into watching craft room tours and organization videos on YouTube, which led to me to my first YouTube obsession of the month: ClutterBug. Her videos really inspire and motivate me to organize everything, and she always tells a funny story at the end of her videos.
The other channel I’ve started watching a lot is SeaLemon. She does craft and DIY videos that look like a lot of fun, and when I get home I will probably try some of them. I am especially interested in the DIY bookbinding methods. Definitely a fun channel to check out.
Another online video sort of thing I’ve been loving this month is Skillshare. I managed to get a deal where I could buy 3 months of Skillshare Premium for just over a dollar, so I went for it. I’ve already watched tons of hours of tutorials on graphic design, illustration, and surface pattern design, which I absolutely love. I totally want to design fabric or scrapbook paper some day! (If you want to try Skillshare Premium for two months for free, use my referral link—or someone else’s.)
Finally, I’ve also been loving my vacation so far. I’ve seen some interesting birds and trees, and I got to go to Target a couple times already—I plan to go more! I do miss my home, because I am very much a stay-at-home kind of person, but the change in scenery is good for me. I’m hoping it will inspire me to do more arts and crafts when I get home!
I’ve been into a lot of stuff this month, but there’s sort of a common creative thread running through most of them. Which has been good, because some months I have no creative energy at all. I can’t wait to see what March brings.
